Scope
This specification defines requirements for a high gloss paint system for use on civil aircraft. This high gloss paint system may be used on external surfaces of civil aircraft, but usage is not limited to such applications. This standard may also be used as a basis for special coatings such as anti-erosion, anti-slip, semi-gloss and matt coatings.
