Scope
This specification covers a silica fiber insulation in the form of felted pads, flat or in rolls, as ordered. These products have been used typically as a component of heat-insulating blankets for turbine engine tail-pipes and tail cones for service up to 2000 degrees F (1093 degrees C), but usage is not limited to such applications.
