Scope

This specification covers honeycomb core made of glass fabric impregnated with phenolic resin and supplied in the form of blocks, slices, and ordered shapes.

This honeycomb core has been used typically for bonded sandwich structures requiring high strength and corrosion resistance for service up to 350 degrees F (177 degrees C), but usage is not limited to such applications. A common use is outboard control surfaces subject to water migration.
