Scope
The operating instructions covered by this specification are published for the purpose of providing a background of engine operating information with which a pilot and his crew should be familiar when operating an aircraft powered by a particular engine model. Operating instructions also contain engine operational procedures which serve as a guide for: (1) the preparation of the right manual by the aircraft manufacturer, (2) operating an engine prior to the publication of the aircraft right manual, and (3) instructional purposes. This specification covers the requirements for format and outline of contents of operating instructions in published form or in manuscript from suitable for publication.
