Scope
To specify minimum requirements for non-stabilized magnetic direction instruments for use in aircraft, the operation of which may subject the instrument to the environmental conditions specified in Paragraph 3.3. This Aeronautical Standard covers two basic types of instruments as follows: Type I - Direct Reading, Type II - Remote Indicating.
