This document covers steady type lights (Type I) and flashing-type lights (Type II).

This document provides minimum performance and design standards to be applied to battery-powered emergency lights intended to be fitting to individual and multiplace flotation devices to mark the location and aid in the marshalling of aviation accident survivors in bodies of water.
