This includes gasoline and diesel fuels as well as their blends with additives such as alcohols, esters and ethers whether the additives are petroleum based or bio-fuel based. • The group of components that comprise the fuel system (in contact and not in contact with fuels). • Other components in proximity to the fuel system that may be affected by electrostatic fields caused by the fuel system. • Electrostatic phenomena that arise from or are affected by the following aspects of vehicle or fuel system operation: o Flowing fuel in the fuel delivery system o Flowing fuel being dispensed to the vehicle while it is being fueled

This SAE Recommended Practice was established to provide an accurate, uniform and reproducible procedure for simulating use of heavy-duty hybrid- electric vehicles (HEVs) and conventional vehicles on dynamometers for the purpose of measuring emissions and fuel economy. Although the recommended practice can be applied using any driving cycle, the practice recommends three cycles: the Manhattan cycle, representing low-speed transit bus operation; the Orange County Transit Cycle, representing intermediate-speed bus operation; and the Urban Dynamometer Driving Schedule (UDDS) cycle representing high-speed operation for buses and tractor-trailers. This document does not specify which emissions constituents to measure (e.g., HC, CO, NOx, PM, CO 2 ), as that decision will depend on the objectives of the tester.

CHS ground operations, interfacing ground systems, and ground support equipment (GSE) safety certification is outside the scope of this standard. The technical requirements in this standard are applicable to the CHS, which, depending on the phase of the mission, is either the crewed vehicle or the composite (i.e., vehicle integrated on launcher or carrier). They apply also to external interfaces (e.g., with control centers, launch pad, recovery system). The requirements apply to all phases of the mission, including docking to a crewed station.

The greases have been classified according to the operating conditions under which they are used, because the versatile nature of greases makes it impractical to classify them according to end use. It will therefore be necessary to consult the supplier to be certain that the grease can be used in; for example, rolling bearings or pumped supply systems, and also concerning the compatibility of products (see Remarks in Table 1). NOTE: In this classification, a grease cannot have more than one symbol. This symbol should correspond to the most severe conditions of temperature, water contamination and load in which the grease can be used.
