PROCEDURE FOR THE CONTINUOUS SAMPLING AND MEASUREMENT OF GASEOUS EMISSIONS FROM AIRCRAFT TURBINE ENGINES

1990-08-01
HISTORICAL
ARP1256B
This Aerospace Recommended Practice (ARP) describes the continuous sampling and analysis of gaseous emissions from aircraft gas turbine engines and is intended to standardize the emission test procedures1 and equipment for measuring carbon monoxide, carbon dioxide, nitric oxide, nitrogen dioxide, and total hydrocarbons. This ARP is not intended for in-flight testing, nor does it apply to engines operating in the afterburning mode.

TYPE MEASUREMENTS OF AIRPLANE INTERIOR SOUND PRESSURE LEVELS DURING CRUISE

1990-08-01
HISTORICAL
ARP1323A
The primary measurement procedure recommended in this ARP includes the recording of sound pressure signals in the interior of an airplane during steady state cruise conditions with analysis after the flight into octave band (or one-third octave band) sound pressure levels.

Labeling Air Brake Valves with Their Performance (Input-Output) characteristics

1990-08-01
HISTORICAL
J1860_199008
This SAE Recommended Practice applies to those air brake system valves used to control the vehicle service brakes and test procedures defined by SAE J1859 to measure performance characteristics. This Recommended Practice adheres to standard industry practice of using English units for specifying valve characteristics.

Automotive Adaptive Driver Controls, Manual

1990-08-01
HISTORICAL
J1903_199008
This SAE Recommended Practice establishes a uniform procedure for assuring the manufactured quality, installed utility, and service performance of certain automotive adaptive products, other than those provided by the vehicle manufacturer, intended to provide driving capability to persons with physical disabilities. These devices function as adaptive appliances to compensate for lost or reduced performance in the arms or legs, or both, of the driver. Some of the devices are designed to transfer foot functions to the hands, hand functions to the feet, or functions from one side of the body to the other.

Component Nomenclature-Graders

1990-07-30
HISTORICAL
J870_199007
This SAE Standard provides names of major components peculiar to graders as defined in SAE J1057 (See Figure 1). Illustrations are not intended to be exactly descriptive of any particular machine.

Method for Assessing the Cleanliness Level of New Hydraulic Fluid

1990-07-30
HISTORICAL
J1277_199007
To establish a quality control procedure suitable for both users and producers by which the cleanliness level of new hydraulic fluid can be quantified, certified, and specified. The method is applicable to new mineral and synthetic hydraulic fluids--regardless of packaging. This sAE Standard is not intended as a procedure for operating equipment.

Hose Assembly, Polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE), Up to 450 °F (232 °C) and 1500 psi (10 500 KPa), Procurement Specification

1990-07-13
HISTORICAL
AS1946
This Aerospace Standard (AS) covers the requirements for polytetrafluoroethylene (PTFE) hose assemblies for use in aerospace hydraulic, fuel, and lubricating oil systems at temperatures between -67°F and 450°F for Class I assemblies, -67°F and 275°F for Class II assemblies, and at nominal pressures up to 1500 psi. The hose assemblies are also suitable for use within the same temperature and pressure limitations in aerospace pneumatic systems where some gaseous diffusion through the wall of the PTFE liner can be tolerated. The use of these hose assemblies in pneumatic storage systems is not recommended. In addition, installations in which the limits specified by this standard, for example oxygen, shall be subject to the approval of the pruchaser.

NATIONAL AEROSPACE AND DEFENSE CONTRACTORS ACCREDITATION PROGRAM (NADCAP)RULES FOR IMPLEMENTATION

1990-07-02
HISTORICAL
AS7002
This standard establishes rules for the implementation of the National Aerospace and Defense Contractors Accreditation Program (NADCAP) to accredit the capability of suppliers furnishing processes, products, and services for the aerospace and defense industries as provided for in specific programs. These rules shall be in compliance with the latest issue of Aerospace Standard AS7003.
