Scope:

This SAE Recommended Practice describes requirements for lamps, reflective devices, and associated equipment for signaling to enable safe operation in darkness and other conditions of reduced visibility.

Rationale:

L-S 300A document has been superseded by ASTM 4956 and document CGSB62GP11P no longer exsists. Changes made to this document reflect that modification. IIn Table 2, increased maximum height of tail, stop and side marker lamps and reflex reflectors have been inserted. The height increase provides more flexibility of mounting to new snowmobile and snowmobile cutter designs while not detracting from visibility requirements.
