This activity is focused on more electric and all electric type power systems for air vehicles. The scope of which includes source, distribution and user contributions to electrical power quality, failure modes, coordination, system reliabilty and robustness, impacts of being flight critical and the gaps which exist in present standards and guidance documents.
This is a preliminary step which allows industry dialogue to asses the MEA implications which are not presently dealt with in current standards. This activity is purposely open to both military and civil application and will be driven by the needs and issues which will be determined and how the industry decides they must be dealt with. Follow on activities would likely involve update to existing standards or practices.
