The primary goal of this new Aerospace Information Report is to provide guidelines to conduct effective Gage R&R studies for balancing tasks. This new Aerospace information report will inform process planners and machine operators how to properly conduct a Gage R&R study and interpret results. The contents of the report are: introduction, step by step guidelines to conduct Gage R&R study, data analysis options, and result interpretation.

Rationale:

The Gage R&R study helps process planners to identify sources of variations in a balancing operation measurement system.The study and data analysis results also help to determine what needs to be fixed if the measurement system is poor or unacceptable. Ultimately, the study shows the quality level of the balance measurement system.
