Requirements for a Terrestrial Based Position, Navigation, and Timing (PNT) System to Improve Unmanned Vehicle Navigation Solutions and Ensure Critical Infrastructure Security

Scope:

This recommended practice defines the technical requirements for a terrestrial based PNT system to improve unmanned vehicle navigation solutions and ensure critical infrastructure security.

Rationale:

The Global Navigation Satellite System (GNSS) receivers used to aide unmanned vehicle navigation and critical infrastructure security can be subject to signal disruption, jamming, or spoofing. A terrestrial based PNT system that is difficult to disrupt, jam, or spoof is needed to compliment and serve as an alternative to GNSS.
